Our Favorite Home Inspiration From Travel Rentals

My family has stayed at over a dozen home rentals across Florida and the South. We like traveling with our dogs, which means road trips and wanting to stay somewhere with a yard.

These are some of our favorite home decor ideas from all of our vacation rentals.

1) We loved this mini mural on the fence with an entire matching seating area. It’s something that would be easy to recreate yet creates a huge impact.

2) This home was designed beautifully. The color scheme seemed to perfectly complement every color equally - but the floor-to-ceiling curtains gave glamour. Please also admire the dramatic red rug against details like the mismatched lamps.

3) This is the living room from the same home. Again, I loved the sheer curtains against the bright orange couch. This living room made us want to prioritize a space in our home that invites rest in a similar way.

4) We definitely want a garden in our backyard; this one was goals - look at that lettuce!

5) I loved the way this living room “barely” had a TV, but it wasn’t a problem. I watched my first Audrey Hepburn movie on that couch, and it was lovely. This space proved you can have a modern, functioning living room and still make something like a fireplace the central point.

6) This was an air conditioned patio - and we will definitely be recreating one in our forever home. In between outings, we spent every spare minute in this room. Sightseeing was unmatched.

7) This living room was made for movies - everyone got a couch; I even got my yoga on while watching a movie. The rich blue walls prove you shouldn’t be afraid of dark paint or colors in your home.

8) The bedroom in this home opened up directly to this outdoor space - and after experiencing that - we need more. It was so luxurious to be outside that easily - even from rolling right out of bed. And of course, the backyard was like an outdoor living area.

9) Here’s another outdoor space; it’s our absolute favorite backyard so far - surprisingly loved the gravel - and it felt totally private, like our own oasis. Oasis? Yes - I want more of that.

10) This wall isn’t something you could recreate. But what I love about it is that it’s an original feature. While the rest of the home was updated, this wall was left up and actually highlighted in the living room’s design.
